The University of Oregon Athletic Department challenged our account to generate a student fan base for the newly reinstated NCAA baseball program.
After a lot of interaction with the student population it became clear our biggest issue was unawareness. Unawareness of the personnel, history, schedule and baseball in general.
To solve this issue we employed a few different tactics. Our designers created a handbook that gave students a crash-course lesson on the program and a quick brush-up on baseball and its quirks. This was also reproduced into a mobile application by our digital team.
In order to connect students to the players and coaches we produced a series of weekly YouTube spots highlighting the characters that made up the team.
The Duck faithful look for any chance to dawn the green and yellow on gameday be it at The Pit for basketball games or The Pack for track and field events. We branded the baseball student section and introduced The Pond, one more reason to yell "Go Ducks."
